The Peace Officers Research Association of California today announced that they have endorsed Jerry Brown for Attorney General. Ron Cottingham, President of PORAC, said, “We interviewed all of the candidates for Attorney General and were impressed by Jerry Brown’s knowledge of local policing, the innovative programs he has put in place to fight crime, his deep legal knowledge and his thorough understanding of the job of Attorney General. We also remember that he was a leader who stepped up in the campaign to defeat Proposition 66 – an attempt to dismantle California’s three strikes law. We endorsed Jerry Brown because he will be a tough on crime Attorney General.”
