LA Times Poll: Brown Holds ‘Sizable Edge’ Over Poochigian

A poll released today by the LA Times shows Jerry Brown holds a formidable 20-point lead among registered voters despite his opponent's massive spending efforts and negative advertising. The poll also shows Brown ahead 51% to 34 % among likely voters and even quotes a Republican voter, Josephine Cranston, who says she will not rule out Brown.

Brown campaign consultant Ace Smith said: “It is clear that Poochigian’s talking torsos are not moving voters. Voters are consolidating behind the candidate who is endorsed by rank and file police and that’s Jerry Brown.”
