In a crushing blow to the Poochigian campaign, Jerry Brown goes into the final weeks with $ 5.0 million dollars to Poochigian’s $ 1.6 million. Today, The Los Angeles Times reports that “campaign finance reports filed Thursday show Democratic Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown is swamping state Sen. Chuck Poochigian (R-Fresno) in the attorney general's campaign.”
Ace Smith, campaign consultant to the Brown for Attorney General campaign said: "We now know why the Poochigian campaign is acting so desperate. They have spent their money on attack ads and are still stuck at 30% in the polls. Clearly, Poochigian’s trash talking torsos are not turning heads."
Statewide Polls show Brown with hefty leads between 15—22 % over Charles Poochigian. Recently, Brown was endorsed by the The San Francisco Examiner, The Los Angeles Times, La Opinion, the Riverside Press-Enterprise, as well as more than 50 law enforcement and public safety organizations across California. Just this week, the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Sacramento County also endorsed Jerry Brown.
