Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Endorses Brown

Brown for AG

Democrat Jerry Brown, the former governor and current Oakland mayor, is no longer a "Moonbeam," but a smart, seasoned and effective leader quite capable of running the state Attorney General's Office.

His opponent, state Sen. Chuck Poochigian, R-Fresno, emphasizes Brown's liberal and unconventional past in his attack ads, but Brown has moderated his views over the years. He supports Jessica's Law, Proposition 83, for example, and opposed an effort a couple of years ago to weaken the "three strikes" law.

Brown has proven his leadership, his intelligence and his integrity over the years. He has the right tools to be California's attorney general.
