Steve Krull, The President of the California Police Chief’s Association, talks about why his organization endorsed Jerry Brown over Poochigian and points out Brown’s record of being tough on crime. Steve Krull says, “When the California Police Chiefs decided to endorse a candidate for Attorney General, we interviewed both candidates, we looked at their experience and their records in Law Enforcement. And Jerry Brown is clearly the better choice for California.”
Tough on Crime
Jerry Brown is the only candidate for Attorney General who has worked with local police to fight crime. This law, which was passed in June 1974 as Proposition 9, required some of the nation’s toughest disclosure and campaign finance laws.
